Another perfect spring day !!!!
Kilts were the order of the day for Ian & Victoria’s wedding at Edenfield Parish Church. Its nice not having to worry about the weather and the grounds of the church looked stunning, a carpet of daffodils.
I met Ian and his best man and ushers at the church and by the mood of the guys it felt like we were going to have a great day !!
Victoria arrived with her 2 sisters and Libby the little flower girl and we managed to get loads of lovely shots before the service started. After the service me spent time in the church grounds with the guests before heading of to the beautiful Red Hall Hotel for the wedding breakfast and reception.
As I left the party was in full swing.
I hope you had a wonderful evening and have a great honeymoon in Abu Dhabi

When Anthony & Lucy booked their wedding with me I was already booked for their day so Sue was to do their wedding pictures. What I didn’t know at the time was my wedding was so early that I was finished and was able to get over to Walshaw to help with most of their wedding pictures too.
St Osmunds Church, Breightmet was the setting for the wedding service and then a short drive to The Bolholt Hotel in Walshaw when most of the pictures were to be taken. Everybody was having a great time in the sun and this included Sadie & Alfie who never stopped for a moment. With 77 guests its nice that we can spend time and almost get to know everybody during the wedding day.
As we left the Bolholt Hotel the reception was in full swing and it looked like a good time was going to be had by all.

Sometimes you are just in the right place at the right time.
Simon & Donnas wedding was at St Mary’s Parish Church in Radcliffe, a church I do a couple of weddings at every year so not a place I would normally go and look at before a wedding. My son Jack was playing football at the park next to the church so i thought I would go and have a refresher. To my amazement I was greeted with something new – the church had been covered with scaffolding !!! All round the front door were metal barriers and big yellow signs saying “Danger of falling debris”
I was straight onto the phone to Donna and we concocted a new “Plan B”. Luckily the church has some nice gardens behind and in front so we were able to do all the pictures hiding the construction site !!
We were lucky and unlucky at the same time – we were unlucky that 2 pictures into the family groups the rain started, i made the decision that we would retire to the church so we all made a run for cover. As we got to the church the rain seemed to lessen so I made the quite unpopular choice to drag all the guests back into the drizzle to try and get the pictures we wanted. luckily the rain stopped and we completed all the pictures in the dry.
We all then went to The Red Hall in Ramsbottom, my 3rd wedding there in 2 weeks !! The venue looked superb as usual and the wedding breakfast room looked immaculate.

I have lived in Bury all my life and been a wedding photographer for over 10 years so you would think that I had photographed most churches in the area. For years I have looked at Greenmount Church and wondered why I had never done a wedding there. Thanks to Jonathon and Sheley this was about to change. The weather was great and the group of lads that greeted us at the Church set the scene for the rest of the day. It was obvious that Jonathon and Sheley have a great bunch of friends and a really close family as everybody seemed to be having a fantastic time together.
We finished the pictures at the church and then me and the new Mr & Mrs Morris went to a park for a few quiet moments and to grab some more intimate pictures. After we then went to The Red Hall Hotel in Ramsbottom which looked great in the September sunshine. Their room for the wedding breakfast looked stunning and as I left I could tell that everybody was going to have a great evening together.

This was wedding I had looking forward to for a while as I knew lots of my friends would part of Adam & Andreas big day. A nice overcast day greeted us at St Annes Church, Chappeltown and for once I wasn’t worried about the rain. A wedding is only as good as its guests and it was a pleasure to deal with a fantastic bunch of family and friends who all made the day extra special for the new Mr & Mrs Settle. For once I managed to get back and enjoy the night-time festivities and it was obvious from the people there that a memorable time was had by all.

St Johns Baxenden was the setting for Liam & Kimberleys wedding on the 9th July.
We did pictures at home and then it was off to St Johns Church, Baxenden for the service. As I arrived at the church again I was greeted with an unusual sight, a page boy running around with no trousers on as one of the guests frantically tried to sew up his ripped pants before the service started. Never a dull moment as a wedding photographer.
The service went without a hitch and we again managed to dodge some very angry looking clouds and get the family pictures done. we all then set of to the Red Hall Hotel, Ramsbottom for the reception.

The Red Hall, Ramsbottom was the venue for Lee & Rachel’s wedding on the 5th of June. I’m getting a bit sick of saying this but it was another glorious day for a wedding and the main worry of the day was trying to keep people out of the very very bright sun.
The Red Hall always do a fantastic job of looking after their guests and today was no different. After finishing the family pictures we took Lee & Rachel to a local park for some time on their own and for the opportunity for us to get some personal shots of them.
I hope you both have a great break in Jamaca and ill see you in a couple of weeks !!
